Having your product listed on Tourism Australia's consumer website, Australia.com, can help with your international exposure.

Tourism Australia’s consumer website, Australia.com, receives millions of unique visits each year and is the primary call to action for its consumer marketing campaigns. The site is in English and 8 other languages to cover the 13 international markets Tourism Australia targets.

While the products and experiences featured on Australia.com are guided by a set of selection criteria, it is predominantly editorial discretion which determines how products are curated on a particular article. The aim is to showcase a wide variety of tourism experiences, however it's not always possible to include everyone.

Australian Tourism Data Warehouse (ATDW)

The Australian Tourism Data Warehouse (ATDW) is Australia’s national tourism database and distribution platform which represents over 40,000 small and medium sized tourism products and destinations.

By listing a product in the ATDW database, tourism operators benefit from being listed on their State or Territory Tourism Organisation’s consumer website, the Australia.com website and through ATDW’s network of over 200 tourism distributors.

Registration and approval of ATDW listings is managed through State or Territory Tourism Organisations and submissions are made via the ATDW online portal.

On Australia.com ATDW listings are shown on an interactive map with a panel about each product which is also shown on a various capital city pages such as this guide to Sydney. In addition, pages helping users to find accommodation and tours also feeds through from ATDW listings.

Australia.com is Tourism Australia’s consumer-facing website, designed to make planning a trip to Australia easy and fun. We target first-time international visitors to the country with written content, video, imagery and digital tools (such as interactive maps). The aim is to give our audience the resources they need to plan their trip.

In FY2020, Australia.com received 17.3 million unique visitors.

Austraila.com has a presence in 15 countries and is translated into eight languages. These languages are Indonesian, German, French, Italian, Japanese, Korean, Simplified Chinese and Traditional Chinese.

There are a few ways your business can be featured on Australia.com. The best way for immediate presence on the site is to ensure you have an up-to-date ATDW (Australian Tourism Data Warehouse) listing. We use ATDW across the site to showcase tourism experiences and encourage users to visit operator websites.
